Ogden Valley and Ogden Valley City

Learn more about Ogden Valley and Ogden Valley City

The Ogden Valley sits at the top of Ogden Canyon โ€” a 40-square-mile bowl ringed by the Wasatch Range on three sides, with Pineview Reservoir at its center and Powder Mountain rising to the north.

It's forty minutes from Salt Lake City and feels like a different world. That's the whole point.

The Geography

The canyon: Highway 39 climbs through Ogden Canyon โ€” nine miles of river, rock walls, and the Ogden River before the valley opens up. The drive filters out casual visitors. The people who make it through regularly enough to want property here did so on purpose.

Pineview Reservoir: The valley centerpiece. Warm-water lake, boating, fishing, state parks on multiple shores. The anchor for summer life in the valley.

The communities: Eden and Wolf Creek to the east. Huntsville to the west. Liberty to the north. Powder Mountain rising above all of it.

The mountain: Powder Mountain at the north edge of the valley. The #1 powder in the US, according to Powder Magazine. The reason most people first discovered this place.

The Market

The Ogden Valley isn't one market โ€” it's several, each with its own dynamics:

  • Ski-access properties (Powder Mountain private and public)
  • Golf and resort communities (Wolf Creek)
  • Lakefront and lake-view (Pineview)
  • Agricultural and equestrian (valley floor)
  • Mountain-view residential (throughout)

Jesse works all of them. He's been in this valley for thirty years and knows the difference between what's priced right and what's priced for the brochure.
